ATTENTION:

The latest update 13th January 2026. The programme will be resumed after the Ministry of Science and Higher Education awards funding for 2026 and signs a new agreement. We hope that the resumption will take place no later than in May 2026. The publisher does not anticipate the possibility of retroactively reactivating articles accepted for publication in 2026 before the launch of the programme.

The programme allows the coresponding authors affiliated with the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin to publish their articles free of charges in prestigious journals under the Open Access model.

The affiliation of authors in the Elsevier programme is verified exclusively by local administrators in institutions- at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin : Ms Katarzyna Bojko, e-mail: repozytorium@kul.pl.The affiliation of the corresponding author should be provided in the article header with adequate accuracy to unambiguous identification with the institution. The corresponding author may provide more than one affiliation in the article and it is sufficient that at least one of them is consistent with the list. The affiliation of any co-authors of the article is not relevant to the programme.

The Article Processing Charges (APCs) under this programme are covered by the domestic Elsevier licence, funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSW).

  • The programme in 2025 covered 1120 hybrid journals (information an the current number of journals will be updtaed in 2026)
  • After the acceptance of the article for publication, the corresponding author receives an e-mail with a link to finalise the publication process… more information can be found on the ICM website.
