| Niecodzienny dar o dużej wartości przekazał Bibliotece ks. Kanonik Antoni Jerzy Czyżewski. Stanowi go 355 woluminów książek z jego prywatnej biblioteki. 167 woluminów to książki obcojęzyczne, głównie z dziedziny filozofii, zaś 188 - to książki polskie z różnych dziedzin. |

Pragnę bardzo serdecznie podziękować Księdzu Kanonikowi za przekazanie do Biblioteki Uniwersyteckiej KUL 355 woluminów książek ze swojej prywatnej biblioteki, gromadzonej pieczołowicie podczas całego swojego życia. Otrzymaliśmy 167 woluminów obcojęzycznych książek naukowych, głównie z dziedziny filozofii, z których aż 60% tytułów było w naszych zbiorach dotąd nieobecnych (pozostałe 40% okazało się dubletami, które zostaną wykorzystane albo jako drugi egzemplarz, albo będą przekazane do bibliotek zakładowych w KUL, albo też zostaną wykorzystane do wymiany z innymi instytucjami naukowymi). Książek w języku polskim otrzymaliśmy 188 woluminów - wszystkie one zostaną wykorzystane w naszej Bibliotece. Choć zdecydowaną większość tytułów polskich już posiadaliśmy, to nasze egzemplarze są już bardzo często zniszczone przez czytelników i dzięki temu darowi, księgozbiór polski Biblioteki Uniwersyteckiej KUL zostanie odnowiony. W części polskiej daru były także takie książki, których nie posiadaliśmy w ogóle. Jeszcze raz bardzo serdecznie dziękuję Księdzu Kanonikowi za ten dar (...) – |
